About Jay Watson Construction...

Jay Watson has lived in Bonner County since 1972, and shortly after moving here, cut his teeth on remodels, then soon graduated to building custom homes.  After becoming convinced that he had found his calling, Jay built his own cabinet shop to compliment his newly founded small construction company.

In the years since, Jay has tackled almost any type of building project you can think of; from kitchen remodels to 80,000 sq. ft. nursing homes and working across the nation in large scale construction management.

Jay does design most of his work, however he also enjoys the architect and customer relationship.  Along with being a local builder, Jay also has been involved at the state level, as he was the President of the Idaho Builders Association in the 1990s.  While being the acting President, Jay spearheaded a statewide effort to increase the accountability and mandatory training of licensed general contractors.

Jay is probably most noted for his attention to detail and timely expedition of the project, including budget adherence.

Jay is also a father of three grown sons, and resides on the Pend O’reille River near Sandpoint.  An avid water skier, outdoor enthusiast, and volleyball player, Jay enjoys the beautiful surroundings of Northern Idaho.
